If he’s really going to come over to our side, he needs to not use the r word. It’s a slur for disabled people. It actually honestly hurts their feelings. I used to work with adults that have IDD. They are very gentle people. They get hurt very easily. When they hear that word, it is very difficult to make them feel okay again.
