    1. This is Sandy Brockman, who was actually a high school student (not a teacher) in Denver, Colorado at East High School (alma mater of Douglas Fairbanks, Pam Grier, and Don Cheadle as well as jazz greats like Bill Frisell, Dianne Reeves, and Ron Miles).

She [appeared in Life magazine in 1969](https://books.google.com/books?id=CVEEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA43&dq=sandy+brockman+1969&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjo1_uF3NqTAxVnt4kEHeVJAEkQ6AF6BAgMEAM#v=onepage&q=sandy%20brockman%201969&f=false). She is frequently identified as a teacher, but [she was definitely a student at the time](https://www.facebook.com/groups/497946584033986/posts/2003143186847644/).
