I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some of them with comments. Dunno if reddit has changed it, though.

They often turn off the comments after all they get is brail porn (if you have some can you give it as an example)

    3. I one time saw one with comments, the comment count said something around 37.
but I only could count 3…

      *all positive*

You think you want this but you don’t.

Comments on ads allows ads to get picked up by recommendation algorithms leading to *more* ads.

    5. I can’t tell the difference between ad posts and engagement slop so I ignore both.

Whenever they have comments opened, you can see **WHY** they prefer to have them locked.

It’s always whining and complaining or just straight-up braille porn.

This is why we can’t have nice things

    7. Sometimes
      They forget to lock them
And all hell breaks lose insulting them, best posts of the day IMOHO

I just think it’s funny that they try to make ads look like a regular interesting post and despite so many ad dollars and marketing “education” the can’t even make interesting content. They try to hit you with all the sales shit immediately that it’s instantly repulsive even if they had a product that might be of interest.

No, because when they do you monkeys don’t abuse it properly.

Just dicks and stupid memes as far as the thumb can scroll instead of attacking the product directly.

THIS is why we can’t have nice things like transparent commerce!!

I remember when they first started doing them, they all had pretty hilarious comments

some of them do, and like 5 comments get through pointing out how bad the advertisement is get through before they’re disabled. if you ever see an ad with comments, i recommend you read them. they’re never positive.
