This is 9/11 but for Iran.

    1. One day, somehow, this thing will come back to bite us. I don’t mean high gas prices. I mean a second 9/11, or something worse. It will most likely happen long after this “excursion” has dropped from the headlines and most people in the US have forgotten about it. The Iranians won’t forget.

Not only destroyed, but waited an hour to bomb again to “eliminate” emergency responders.

    3. Not only did we bomb it, we fucking bombed it twice to double tap rescue workers. These fucks and the assholes who pulled the trigger in the military need to be sent to the Hague.

Not to be that guy, but bombing bridges is absolutely not a war crime. Bridges are absolutely viable military targets. I’m not defending an illegal war but we can’t start just labeling everything a war crime. It cheapens the word and lessens the impact.

Edit: double tapping to hit rescue workers is the war crime

    5. The Orange turd damaged all goodwill and respect the US ever had. The consequences of these two terms will forever haunt the country

    6. Not to defend anything, as this was an unfinished bridge by all accounts that wasn’t capable of supporting the weight of heavy equipment yet, so unlikely is has been being used to transport heavy military equipment. Also, they’ve been moving stuff through there for ages before the bridge, so that’s not the primary way they would do it currently.

However, destroying bridges is not a war crime. They are valid military targets. Can debate or whether or not a military has used a bridge or not, but fact is it can be used for force movement and have long been a regular target in conflicts. They are not something considered strictly a civilian target.

The repeat strike was ridiculous. No further comment on that.

      Edit: typo

Bombing a bridge is not inherently a warcrime.

Wanton destruction of infrastructure for no military gain would be, or if targetting said bridge had disproportionate civilian impacts vice military impacts (ie a bridge that is occasionally used by troops but regularly vital for flow of food).

But a bridge in and of itself is not a warcrime.

Lots “war crime” experts on twitter just spouting stuff.

    8. We all know that the trump administration is committing war crimes like it’s a ranked video game but bombing a bridge isn’t a warcrime in of itself. Bridges that have a military/strategic purpose are fair game so long as humanitarian aid continues to be possible.

    9. BS move in a BS war.

We’re just creating more hate for the US and more future terrorists.

Not to downplay the seriousness of double-tapping a bridge to make sure you killed everybody including rescue workers, but the US bombed a school full of children with zero repercussions. Nobody is going to bat an eye at a bridge, rescue workers or not.  I love my country but, man, am I embarrassed and ashamed at how long it took me to realize that at no point in our history have we really been the ‘good’ guys.

    11. Bombing bridges isn’t a war crime most of the time — and certainly wouldn’t be pursued as one because such infrastructure can be used for military purposes.

Double tapping first responders sure as hell is though.

We need to understand the real legal bars that need to be surpassed to indicate war crimes, because it’s muddy water and it provides ammunition to the disingenuous if we aren’t correct.

Insert the Sartre quote here if you want. We have to be precise, they get to play rhetorical games. 😕

    12. America and Israel are going to cry wolf once they get their comeuppance.

quite literally just leave people alone and abandon this controlling agenda and mindset both internationally and at home.

    13. The double tap is the clincher. Israel taught them that, or has the usa been doing war crimes all along?

But bombing a bridge isn’t a war crime. The bridge is a piece of tactical infrastructure

    15. They also hit it once, then hit it again an hour latwr once rescue squads showed up.

    16. Bombing the bridge is bad enough, but there’s also the additional implication here.

Destroying major bridges is important for disrupting enemy logistics, and is crucial if you’re going for a full-scale invasion.

The other possiblity is that they did this as a fuck-you move with some war crimes added in.

Third possibility is that it’s all the above.

    17. Now we know why 12 generals and colonels were fired by hegseth…they wouldn’t do this evil for him.

    18. I’m convinced he’s egging them on to attack us. They won’t. But I promise a false flag is next.

    19. So it’s no longer bombing military or nuclear sites. The USA is now bombing infrastructure like bridges?

    20. Not just once, they double tapped it when the first responders got there just like they did to the girl’s school. Sickening.

    21. Except Iran didn’t bomb their own bridge and then blame someone else to start a war

    22. Not only did the US bomb the bridge, they double-tapped it. When rescue workers arrived at the scene, they bombed it again, which is a war crime.

What is it going to take for you dumb Americans to actually do something about your leader? I mean how much more humiliation and hatred can you all absorb before you tell yourselves that you can’t do anything any longer?
