The cavemen were dumb myth was definitely started by someone who couldn’t start a fire without a lighter

    2. To be fair, you try inventing and philosophizing when Oog just got dragged out of the communal cave by a Sabertooth Tiger.

Invented oral sex, discovered psychedelics, harnesses the power of fire, invented spirituality, possibly had sex with unicorns.

cavemen where us, they had less knowledge than we do and had to figure more stuff but they where US

the brain who banged rocks togheter to start a fire is the same as the one who sent his kind into space

See, we judge standards of intelligence based on standards we make. Grug couldn’t do taxes and I can’t either, so really we are the same deep down.

In the caveman’s defense if you give anyone a stick they are likely to turn into a dumb brute

    7. Caveman didn’t exist as they are often evoked. Most Stone Age humans didn’t even live in caves but largely left no traces other then those resistant to time

      Like for example stone tools

But much of their cultural evidences are lost to time and elements, only preserved in rare circumstances like remote caves with ideal conditions for preservation of cultural artifacts

Also, we know they did cave art because cave art is a form of cultural expression that can survive extremely long periods of time. They likely also did lots of other stuff that we have no way of knowing about.

Knew the nature of every growth in his massive migration area despite not having a written language, made pitched musical instruments, knew basic surgical procedures.

    10. We need to understand that food is high technology that’s now been devalued because it’s ubiquitous.

The funny thing is we use Neanderthal as an insult but physically speaking their brains were larger than ours

Caveman survived long enough for Far Cry Primal to be made

Caveman uses concept art and creates this meme

      Caveman puts himself in meme

      Caveman creates meta

People have been people for at least ~200,000 years. It just so happens we have the benefit of all the work people did previously figuring stuff out for us.

Gotta downvote for using the Nazi-heads though.

That’s the problem with Technological Bias.

As we become more used to a technology existing, we gradually forgot what a feat it was to create it.

Sewing is so commonplace now that we simply don’t care or even really notice it, but imagine what an absurd technologal achievement that would’ve been for our ancient ancestors.

Creating fabric, bone or ivory needles, developing stitches that both held and lasted, making thread, etc.

If you had to reinvent the whole concept of textiles today, where or how would you even begin?
