I’m sure retailers will fill the void, don’t worry about paying too little

What a beautiful supermarket. I remember these colours from childhood, but every grocery store chain in Canada has been heavily white for >30 years now.

im surprised sweden charges tax on food, I thought most places dont. Here in Canada only prepared food and “junk food” has tax.

Ideally you have low income and corporate taxation to stimulate economic activity. But high LVT, VAT, Inheritance and Wealth taxations.

23% in Ireland, no VAT on basic foodstuffs such as bread, milk, or basic ingredients. There is a sugar tax on soft drinks chocolate and other luxury food items.

This is weird, when VAT got reduce for restaurant in france instead of looking at smaller price, we got the same price as before (with the difference taken in profit by restaurant)
