I’m 37 and have never been asked a single question for this.

Margin of error, plus or minus 500 million.

“640,000 villages” – great way to make it sound like there are Zero cities.

i wonder why the trans amendment bill was rushed just before the census?
i also wonder why the census will show a low percentage of trans people? definitely doesn’t have anything to do with the government opressing and hiding their trans population just before the census to reduce trans representation.
because of course, trans people are not humans, and trans rights are not human rights! /s

Just imagining trying to hire and organize that many workers is hurting my brain. People are amazing.

Good luck with that…

By the time they’ll finish, the population would have increased ahead of the error margins.

First question: “Did you just lost the game?”

They need to do a census of the officials first

Are they having everyone travel back to their ancestral home, or is that a ridiculous and unnecessary burden to conduct a census?

They have almost as many officials doing it as my countries total population.

oh my god if this is done well this will genuinely be a boon to science for perhaps decades, the simple amount of data you can gather on anything from illness to speed at which one acquired literacy, is just so vast, i’m so excited to look through this data next year when it’s been all compiled and comprehended

3 million people still have to ask the 33 questions of over 400 people each.

What if they get to like 7 million and realize they’re done and have all been double-counting for 500 years?

A historic event to replace the **old census of 1971**. By 2026, Lok Sabha (**House of the People**) seats will increase **in every state of India**, reshaping India’s political landscape. The **current ruling political party** will become more powerful than before, as **southern states will end up with fewer seats**. >!Give me Awards Guys🥹🧚🏻♀️!<

I’m just hoping the population comes out to be stable rather than 1.8 billion or something 😭
Actually pretty cool. I would like a yearly census in the USA. Thay would be sweet.
Sounds like the world’s biggest group project doomed to have one person do all the work.
1. Would you like to go to Brampton Canada, Northern Virginia USA, or Leicester UK?
Gonna take some wicked Excel skillz to make that work.
640,000 villages is wild.
I wonder how that would work

How long will this take?
What is that picture? Makes no sense.
