could it be a touch of religious psychosis? Had a coworker go from zero to shouting mid shift about the devil and G-d is coming and everyone needs to repent and walk out. It was sort of gradual build up until everything was about church/ his religion etc.

He’s the kinda “Christian” who thinks rules are for thee but not for me , a phony who uses Christianity as a shield from his behavior and a sword to attack others unfortunately there are alot of these types of “Christians”

Okay I’m white and maybe this is my privilege/limited knowledge but I don’t understand why the black community is heavily christian. It was used as the justification for slavery and Jim Crow. I don’t understand faith in any gods so maybe that’s part of my issue here as well. I understand white people remaining christian in America as it reinforces white supremacy and makes them feel better about the privileges we horde (blessings from god and all that). Is it just so deep in the culture at this point that it’s not even questioned?
I’m genuinely curious what the discussion around this history is like in black churches.
