It’d be fun for a while, eventually it’d get so fkn frustrating though 😂

its crazy to think that years ago the same routes were done with WAAAAAY less equipment and WAAAAY less sturdy ships, imagine those days must have been scary af

      This seems so uncomfortable.

Imagine trying to take a dump then the ship does this and now the dump re-enters your butt.

Hell no. The sea is so scary to me as someone who can’t swim and also has thalassophobia. There’s just something primal about the nature of it.

    5. Oh, heck no! Never in a million years will I be on a boat that makes those moves…willingly… 😦

those waves activated a primal fear in my brain I was unaware of until this very moment.

If that were me, there would be vomit all over the floors, ceilings, and wall’s.

I’ve seen this video many times, but this is the first time I have had this thought: Do sailors have to sleep with mouth guards? To avoid biting their tongue or other mouth injury during this kind of sudden turbulence.

Edit: It appears no mouthgards commonly on ships. Even historically. However, hammocks were used to negate this issue on older/less capable ships.

My dad was in the Navy, no wonder why he has refused to get on a ship his whole life!

    10. I always wonder how the cooks don’t get severe burns from boiling water

I would not be able to crawl into a bed that tiny to sleep. Omg. Is it that way so you don’t flop around when sleeping? That’s wild.

That is no fun. I never get seasick. Fifty years on the water. But in big seas the boat was rolling so hard the oil alarms for the engine would go off as the oil was sloshing away from where it was needed. I remember being arrogant. Telling a friend who was a Coast Guard vet that he and I would be the only ones who would get sick. Well. I thought I was going to die. It was just too much. That desperate feeling is the worst.
