Also, I believe the authorities should flood the market with all this confiscated ivory.
Prices on the black market will plummet, eliminating the financial incentive to poach. This helps attack the problem from the market side, and not just the field side.
The money raised from the sale of the confiscated ivory goes straight back into conservation.
