    1. What’s this thing called? I think he’s expecting hail? But there’s no hail in the forecast.

      It’s a 24 KIA btw,not some mint 57 Chevy…

      A lot of questions.

Why not park it in the garage in front? What does he have in there?

Is it like  a bounce house and have to have something running constantly to keep it inflated?

What is the purpose of it beyond a car cover( tarp like?)

    3. If I’ve learned anything from Cheech and Chong movies, that cover is hiding billows of smoke.

That same storm hit here in Wisconsin this morning and gave us some good hail.

Investing in something like this and a dash cam is going to save you A LOT of insurance related headaches

    6. Back in my day we ran outside with a load of old blankets and took hailstones to the noggin like real men. What is this newfangled claptrap?

(I might need to buy one of those fr tho… 👀)

    7. I wonder if the stuff in the garage is worth more than the car – or the bounce house cover…

Thought this was one of my local subs for a minute, and a mild panic, thinking I’ll be driving home in a hailstorm tonight.

    9. Growing up, the day after hailstorm was *the day* to go car shopping. You could get a banger (hah) of a deal on a new car with some body damage. If you were poor as shit, it was fantastic. If you were poor as shit and knew how to get body work done on the cheap, you were golden.

I used to drive a ’93 Accord with a banged-up hood and dented roof, got it in ’94 for literally $200. Replaced the windshield with a buddy of mine for like the price of a windshield and a six pack. Lasted me 10+ years.

I am trash and so is my car. I’d actually be hyped if it got hailed on and my car became mottled.

The uglier it becomes over time, the prouder I am, because it means I’m not spending money on it.

I will consume my car some day

this looks so satisfying for no reason 😭 I’m the type to check on something like this every few minutes like I’m monitoring progress. I once watched something inflate like this and got way too invested in it lol

If only they had a dedicated structure that they could drive their car into, protecting it from the elements…

    13. Those blow up covers are amazing at stopping impact damage and aren’t prone to scratching your car’s finish like a traditional cover from abrasion from flapping in the wind. Your neighbor is pretty smart.

    14. The funny part is that it’s so mysterious. What could he under? A giant baked potato? Parade float?
