I mean to have a slightly more serious argument, the stronger they are, the less armor does things for them. Mages have spell shields so armor only slow them down. Fighters have more durability more than armor ever provides so again armor is only a hindrance unless they get some mythical armor

It’s like giving a gun to Superman, hes just too fast and too strong, a bullet could never compare to what a finger poke of his can do. The gun is useless.
In this case, it’s the armor. At some point, unless it’s some mythical soul bonded armor that actually grows in strength and defense with the wearer, armor is just useless.
Also, how are you gonna flex as the most powerful when you’re fully covered up?

It follows the same logic as one of my game’s higher level content. If you kill it before it can damage you, you can negate survivability.

I like how RWBY’s justification for basically no one wearing armor is that all the important characters have their own personal force field, so they can continue to show off their fits at all times.
