    1. I hope his son properly licensed the use his intellectual property…dad should be owing some licensing fees

    2. I use to love watching his youtube channel on the side, it’s been 4 years since they put anything new up.

I also enjoyed his work on Oban Star racers

    3. Thomas Romain is known for co-creating Code Lyoko and working on Oban Star Racers for anyone curious. He also designed lots of art in other anime such as Space Dandy!

Tangible evidence that any mangaka should hire a kid with a lot of imagination for the designs

    6. You know. Some sort of weekly Japanese anime where kids send in drawings and one of those gets put in a new episode each week would be sick…

    7. These are great. There are a lot of work done by the son which are actually better from his drawing, as the inexperienced had sells a different image than the one of the father’s.

In particular, the more monstruous ones like the grey hulk with white horns and multiple eyes, or the one with the massive eyeball in the enter of it’s chest, and the blue one with antlers and a floating eye. There is a horror to the son’s drawing that’s missing from Thomas Romain’s interpretation.

    8. On the first one, while subtle I thought it was pretty cool Thomas interpreted the erase marks on the prosthetic leg as a clear casing.

    9. Thomas has said that he’s planning on making an animated series with all these characters in it. I’m looking forward to that
