It’s almost like the religious zealots left Europe for the new world or something

I live in IL and have no idea where they get this data from, I don’t know many people that go to church, churches are going the way of the dodo. The people making new churches are viewed as fundamentalist weirdos.

Absolutely madness that people are so certain of something with literally no evidence of existence. Truly why we are doomed as a species

What did Europe expect when they packed up all the extremely religious people and sent them to the new world?

There’s a connection between lower quality of life and rates of religiousness. It makes sense that in the US, the poorest states with the worst healthcare, education, and social security systems in place are more religious than wealthier areas that take better care of the populace.

We are almost sure that God exists. God is the Lord of Peace. The country is involved in almost every war of the last century.

    7. Religious zealots left Europe in droves to the US to practice their flavor of Protestantism. The South used religion to reinforce slavery and a caste system, so this checks out.

For me God only exists in curse phrases i like “oh my god” and “god damn”. However, my favourite curse phrase of all is “Jesus F’ing Christ!”

this is what having the atrocities of two world wars happening in your front yard does to someone

    10. Europe has put up with 4k yrs of religious bullshit. America 250yrs. I read about this years ago. Europe basically done with religion given history

    11. Not very surprising when you consider that the United States was colonized by religious groups from Europe. There is also a direct correlation between education, wealth, and religion.

Even though the country is the richest on the planet, this wealth is so concentrated that we see states statistics worthy of the third world.

The rich have only one god, *money*, while the populace prays to an invisible god while sharing the crumbs.

    12. I wonder what else it maps well to. Intelligence levels? Poverty levels? No idea but would be interesting.

    13. Italy is only 10%-29%??? Are those people all concentrated around the Vatican? I find this hard to believe.

    14. What % of people use this belief exclusively to harm others instead of better themselves?
