Only 1 outta like 1000 or even 10.000 survive if I’m not wrong, sorry to spoil the mood

You can almost hear them screaming “freedom!”.

It is fascinating to see how doing this is so deeply encoded in their DNA. They were hatched away from the shore but the second they hit the sand they know which way is home.

Little dudes are just eggs, leave ’em
on the beach to hatch, then coo-coo-ca-choo, they find their way back to the big ‘ol blue.

    5. So dumb question but why not just throw them in the water directly? Or at the shoreline?

    6. If you’re pouring them from a bucket, why make them perform the death march to the water?

I will never underarand how any of those defenseless little things survive the ocean. Boggles the mind.

these comments are so fucking dramatic holy shit yall can’t enjoy anything lmao

these turtles were not harmed in any way, shape or form during this little run into the water lol yall are insufferable

    9. Where do they go?

I know to the sea, but to do what? They don’t know anybody or any place. Where does their instinct take them?

    10. The turtles are almost like pre-programmed micro-controllers just executing a routine to go towards water when on the beach.

    11. I stayed at an all inclusive spa and resort in Cancun. All luxury yadda yadda. The first night releasing sea turtles was definitely a highlight of the trip.
