Is it okay for a live saver ring to be slapped with white paint? Thought they were typically red and white for visibility.

I’m just gonna go out on a limb and guess that it should probably be replaced since whatever coating it had is peeling and now covered by nasty paint, and the plastic inner ring is broken loose.

I worked as a pool/spa attendant at the Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City back in the ’90s. Fun assed job, but there were dumb fuckers that would take the safety ring and play with it in the pool. How someone gets to be an adult and not have the sense that the safety equipment is not for play, is beyond me, but they exist in yesterday’s world and todays.
The giant shit someone took in the women’s bathroom is another story for another time.
