This can’t be a real photo. Trump said none of them were seriously damaged.

    2. One would expect an asset like that to be extremely well protected. This administration is a total failure

    3. “Frankly I thought the plane would be damaged more and to be honest with you when the repairs are done it will probably be the best plane anyone’s ever seen.”

    4. Traitor Trump of course downplays the help Russia is giving Iran to target US forces

    5. Somebody not getting promoted. Maybe even demoted lol.

Luckily these aircraft are on their way out and being replaced by the E7 wedgetail.

I don’t think we have lost one of those to enemy action in a long time. Maybe ever?

Almost worse is that it got hit on the ground, in a different country where we have air/ground control. That means they had the intel to not only see it, but strike it.

Or this is *one hell* of a lucky shot.

Reported as “damaged”. Probably needs a few days in the maintenance hanger.

That’s another $500-700 million wasted right there. Let’s cancel the new ballroom to buy another, since they cost about the same.

I own a Maaco paint shop in Ontario. Just going by the photograph I’d estimate about $1500 – $2200 to get that li’l baby up and running. But only *if*, and I can’t stress this enough, there is a Maaco shop at the Prince Sultan Air Base.

    10. Gonna need an Airplane Facts with Max on how this equates to the Ruins of Osgiliath.

I take it it’s just normal practice to have high value planes sit on a tarmac instead of scrambling to take off as soon as missiles are airborne? Not like the movies is it.

“People are asking—very nasty question, by the way—‘Can you see the remains of the rocket?’ I say, what remains? There are no remains. Nobody can find anything. They’ve looked everywhere—sky, ground, probably underground. Nothing. The rocket—completely obliterated. Not damaged, not broken—obliterated like nobody’s ever seen before.

And they say, ‘Sir, maybe there’s something left?’ I say no. There aren’t even particles. The scientists—top scientists—are telling me they don’t even have a word for this level of obliteration. It’s beyond science. Some are saying it’s the cleanest obliteration in history.

It hit the AWACS hull—tremendous hull, incredibly strong, the strongest—and the rocket just disappeared. Not destroyed—disappeared. Frankly, if you didn’t know there was a rocket, you’d say nothing ever happened. That’s how obliterated it was.

So no, you cannot see the rocket remains, because there are no rocket remains. Zero. And the AWACS? Perfect. In fact, they’re saying it might be even stronger now. That’s what I’m hearing. Never been better.”

That’s a bit more damage than what is being reported on media in the US.

    14. The photographer is almost certainly disappeared into a Saudi cell to never be seen or heard from again.

The US is out a huge amount of money and an extremely valuable asset that’s not easily or quickly replaced. This is so wasteful and pointless. It’s proof the US has learned nothing from the war in Ukraine and is complacent having got used to fighting insurgents with no airforce m, drones, or missiles.

Only idiots would park an aircraft in an unhardened position that is easily observed by satellites and other reconnaissance during a war. Unfortunately the US is run by an idiot and it appears to be trickling down through the military.

    15. $350 million gone. Cost of war over $1 billion dollars a day and GOP cannot afford healthcare for americans.
