I’ve always had the opinion that a person who wants to eat meat has to see the entire process from animal to table. If they still want to eat meat after that then it’s more justified.
I’ve seen the entire progress personally. I got to do it the old school way 15 years or so ago in a Danish slaughterhouse. Put me off meat for a little while and I don’t eat as much meat nowadays as others in my circle do.
Seeing like 50 pigs all lined up in a row split in the middle still connected by their snouts still warm with body heat was a sobering view to say the least.

I eat meat. I love bacon and big, juicy steak. But I do think that, at some point in the future, our decedents will look back on our treatment and consumption of animals with the same horror that we do for some of the things our ancestors did. Â

This is a more humane way. These are conscious creatures at the end of the day though and we’re slaughtering them on an industrial scale. We really need lab grown meat to take root and become less expensive.
