    1. Del Taco is the best so I’m not surprised they are one of the ones that do it in favor of the customer!

    2. I feel like there’s some way for a shrewd venture capitalist to exploit this profitably, but I haven’t the the faintest idea what it is.

I see this at alot of places now but it’s going to take soooo long for pennies to just to be around for change I think

I was at a place the other day that had change ending in odd integers rounding up and change ending in even integers round down. and then a small note that said to see a manager if you feel you have been rounded unfairly. smh 🤦‍♂️

    5. I’ve had multiple people tell me that this is the standard. I just give them their 5 cents extra.

When I was a server I only carried quarters and always rounded in the guest’s favor. 9/10 times I got my quarters back. Worth it to not have to have five pounds of coins in my apron. Only person to ever get upset was an elderly woman that was very concerned I gave her twelve extra cents.

    7. in the future expect to see what canada does.

if it ends in 1, 2, 6, 7 round down.
if it ends in 3, 4, 8, 9 round up

A restaurant I worked at went cashless for a little while until corporate realized it was a terrible idea. When we decided to take cash again we stopped using any change but quarters. We’d round in customers favor and only give back to closest .25$

    9. Wow, 1 cent rounded up to a nickle?

      In Canada, we round up or down like you would do in normal maths. 1 or 2 = 0 , 3 or 4 = 5 , 6 or 7 = 5, 8 or 9 = 10

    10. If it’s rounding to the nearest nickel, then 1, 2, 6, and 7 would round down, while 3, 4, 8, and 9 would round up. That’s how we do it at my job.

    11. I’m going to be honest it took me a second to realize what they meant. At first glance I misinterpreted it as rounding up your total

I would like to trade this penny for a nickel. I would like to trade this penny for a nickel. I would like to trade this penny for a nickel….

Billionaires don’t want you to know this one trick.

Infinite money glitch. Buy a 1 penny sweet with a 2 cent piece. Get 5 cents. Profit by 3 cents. Repeat.

    14. I know they are the ones losing out but It’s like Office Space is unfolding in real time.

    15. What an unnecessarily complicated way to charge prices in .05 cent increments instead of ones that require pennies. It’s is just fake “look what a generous business we are” nonsense.
