Pro tip, if your beer leaves rings on the glass like this, it means your glass was cleaned properly. No rings usually means there was soap residue on the glass, which can change the taste of the beer.

The etching on the bottom glass is crazy, that’s a lot of bubbles for that amount of time

I had a French/German friend who, per their grandfather, said that you shouldn’t have more than 7 rings for a pint.

Lacing. We love it.

I’m confused, as the comments here seem to be implying your drinking pace is very slow. But I count 11 rings, which implies 11 sips, plus a 12th coming to finish it off. To me, that seems to be an extremely fast pace for drinking a beer, so I’m confused as to why everyone seems to feel it’s slow.

Guessing you’re not an alcoholic

The technical term for that would be lacing. If you ever wonder if your glass is clean wet it then shake salt in there. It’ll stick to the dirty spots with residue.

These are not what I’d call sips…

That’s a properly relaxed drinking pace there.

My friends came back from Ireland and the Guinness place and were taught there is a certain number of rings to have finished your pint by. They can tell the Americans because Americans take small sips and leave more rings

That’s your Beer meter, just like your wifi bars on your phone. You definitely have full bars!
