Submission statement: The alphabet shown is Tifinagh, used for Tamazight (Amazigh languages) in North Africa. It descends from the ancient Libyco-Berber script, which was used in the region during the time of Carthage. So while Rome did destroy Carthage in 146 BC, the local writing tradition never really disappeared. Carthago non omnino deleta est.

Super interesting. What % of the population understands Tifinagh or Tamazight?

Edit: ⴷⵉ ⵜⵉⴷⴻⵜ ⵡⴻⵔⵊⵉⵏ, ⴽⵔⴰ ⴰⵎ 3040 ⵏ ⵢⵉⵎⴻⵍⵢⵓⵏⴻⵏ ⵏ ⵢⴻⵎⴷⴰⵏⴻⵏ ⴰⵢ ⵢⴻⵜⵜⵎⴻⵙⵍⴰⵢⴻⵏ ⵜⵓⵜⵍⴰⵢⵜⴰ.

I did a small part on the Amazigh and Tamazight in college! I took away from it a cool bit of history and the testament to the strength and resilience of Berber people.

    5. I’m sorry, but as a Russian i must ask:
Why the fuck Russian language is an option in Moroccan ATM?)
