Bro why did u polish that 40mm shell. You lose 99% of the value when u clean antique arms, ammo, and coins

Here is a non-artillery shell. Several actually.

I have a 20mm AA shell my grandpa brought back from Vietnam. A .50BMG shell fits inside of it easily.

    4. This is such a clever/illusory photo.

At first, it looks like the giant artillery shell on the floor in front of the fridge is supposed to be roughly the size of the fridge.

Then you realize that the shells are not on the floor, theyre on the cabinet peninsula, and the wood is actually the countertop, not the floor.

They ALMOST lined up the corner with the perpendicularly oriented doors, but you can see the tile floor poking out just a little.

    5. My Mum had an artillery casing she picked up from the side of the road in France (part of the Iron Harvest). She actually walked up to the French military guys who were collecting them and straight up asked them if she could have it. They were no doubt bemused by this strange English tourist asking for an artillery shell, but they handed her one.

She put it in her garden and used it to hold flowers, which I feel is a much better use than what it was originally intended for. I’m sure the [person she was in France](https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/56421881/horace-follows) to visit would agree too.
