Did Usher shadow Diddy for 24/7? Just because he’s nice to you, doesn’t mean he isn’t a monster when you aren’t looking

I’ve been waiting on his ass to say something.

Going to have to separate the artist from the person with Usher. I already gave up Twelve Play, I’m not giving up Confessions.
But in all seriousness, the positive experiences you had with a person doesn’t invalidate the negative experiences others had. I understand not wanting to comment if you’re conflicted or don’t condone their actions, but saying he’s misrepresented when we have footage, testimonies and proof of his crimes is crazy

While I won’t speak on whether he may have tried to mess with Justin Bieber, Usher himself was in the business from the age of 12.
Right when I see celebrities who refuse to speak negatively about their counterparts especially when it’s easy, I think they got some skeletons too.

Thats bold of usher to say that, considering all the negative press around diddy

Are we all not sure that a 15 year old usher didn’t have unspeakable things done to him by Diddy and is saying nothing to avoid statements and video tape coming out. Our community isn’t that welcoming when it comes to male victims of assault and I’d imagine if he was a victim he’d like to draw a line under the whole thing and move on.
The kind of women who sell out his tours are the kind who’d assume a male victim was just down low and now you’ve lost your dignity and your bag simultaneously. Some food for thought

Why would people think he’d say anything? He’s always been private. Given how the community treats victims, I wouldn’t be blatantly putting it out there either. It won’t change what happened to him as a child or the fact that everyone knows diddy is an absolute monster.

Stockholm Syndrome?

He likely was a victim and doesn’t want to relive his trauma.

The timing on this is horrible for usher. The Bieber narrative gonna run wild after this.
What a weird hill to die on.

I’m all for holding people accountable and all, but in the grand scheme of things why do we care? Usher’s apathy (or any other celebrity’s feeling about generally anything) dont mean anything in my life.

We really need to stop putting people on pedestals just because they are “good at business”. Have we learned NOTHING in the last …. Century??????

i think usher in his mind is still usher from 2006. he thinks he holds significantly more influence than he does in reality. this could also be stockholm syndrome but i strongly believe this PR response is him genuinely thinking he can clear diddys name at this stage of the game. plus he could never publicly condemn diddy because diddy made usher. if he acknowledged diddy’s actions, people would definitely question the extent of his involvement as he’s been very outspoken throughout his career that diddy was a mentor and father figure to him and that they’re joined at the hip bla bla bla etc etc.

It’s the exact same experience did he had with a record label producer when he was young he moved into his house and that man was his father figure so I think that he just passed on his own experience if I had to guess

A lot of folks REALLY lack sympathy when male victims speak like actual victims.
Of course Usher wouldnt have much to say. He was groomed by Diddy since he was at least 13. There are still women that defend what happened to them and R.Kelly.
Let folks go through the process at their own pace. Usher may still feel humiliated based on what happened to him, or hell he may have been the trophy boy that got gaslit from a young age into believing everyone else was just making shit up about the man who “saved” him.
