you could swap Islam for Christianity in some locations in the US as to their approach to science

The first sentence feels like a religious textbook rather than scientific book.

This looks like a religious textbook rather than what is typically used. The USA has religious textbooks that are similar. They are the minority though, just like in Pakistan.

    4. swap out Allah with *insert your word for god in your christian denomination* and both of those are probably found in some US states.

    5. The part about evolution where “scientists have been unable to recreate this phenomenon” had me dying.

“I put water in here like three months ago and it’s not even a person yet smh”

When your brain is so religion rotted that you’re unable to accept fact.

What’s with Reddit and false equivalency when it comes to the unites states? The United States isn’t a theocracy and has separation of church and state. Sometimes that separation is breached especially at the state level. This is different than living under theocracy

This is called “Intelligent Design” and if you replace some of the wording it’s not at all unlike what many right-wing christians want to teach in American schools.

It’s basically a compromise between evolution and creationism because it acknowledges scientific facts but still attributes them to God’s hand.

    9. As a Pakistani, honestly, I think this particular text book is used in a particular region.

Because I haven’t read anything like this, and I studied the government material for years.

I don’t support statements like this either. Even if I or someone I know is religious, I dont think mixing religion with course material is a good idea.

“Be” seems more efficient than “Let there be light” and taking seven days.

    11. My world “history” textbooks in South Georgia essentially had the same things but Christian version

    12. “Flawless in design”…except for cancer, disease, heart failure, miscarriages, abuse, murder, psychotic breaks, war, narcissism…and…and…and…

How can we be here, in a place where everything perfectly aligns with the exacting conditions that we need to survive? Because if they weren’t, we wouldn’t be here to ask that question…and why we can’t yet find signs of life anywhere else.

Interesting that the page that denounces Darwin and evolution, speaks positively of natural selection at the top of the page. 🤔

    14. Saying “there is no evidence” of evolution and in the same breath saying “Allah created all” is WILD.

Pass on the science book from Pakistan.

    15. This is an extremely old image. I have no idea what the average textbook in Pakistan actually looks like but this has floated around for so long I’d take it with a grain of salt
