I mean, I didn’t like Drake because he makes music for 14 year old girls, not because Kendrick told me to

    2. Drake made people hate him more than Kendrick ever did. I said this earlier, but all Kendrick did was remind us of some of the fuck shit Drake did that most of us never fucked with in the first place. This idea that Drake was just adored and loved before the beef is rewriting of history, plenty of people were sick of his antics already.

    3. Of all the things Jay-Z wants to throw his hat into the ring for, why is it to defend the guy that gets way to comfortable with underage girls?

Jay need to shut the fuck up anyway cause we know the only reason he wasn’t on the island himself is cause Epstein was racist…

      Drake grooming girls under 18

And Jay’s silence during the Diddy fallout.

You gotta wonder where Jay draws the moral line because it doesn’t appear to be at sexual assault and statutory rape.

    6. I don’t want to live in a world where battle rapping isn’t part of the culture anymore. That’s where the hip hop started for me.

    7. Ether comes to mind. Intro starts when i hear jay cry about anything. Which is almost every time now a days. Dudes a capitalist

    8. Hold up now, let’s not act chronically online fans took this beef to another level like random dudes showing up to Drake’s house. I’m not team Drake but that’s some weird shit.

As a person who actually watched the interview, he was basically speaking to how nowadays if you have a rap beef at the highest level like that it takes up way more space in the zeitgeist because of social media which leads to it being overall more toxic; it’s a 24/7 stan war as opposed to a barbershop arguement.

Wow.. it’s hitting three years about this silly battle.. hip hop really has nuthin left to say.

After watching the interview this is part that bothers me the most.

Jay Z in his own career has witnessed first hand the worst possible outcome of a rap battle between Biggie & 2pac…then went and had a whole battle with Nas years later.

Only to come back in an interview at 56yrs old and say, “We’ve grown so much that…I don’t know if battling needs to be a part of the culture.” After pretty much explaining how each of the other 3 pillars of hip hop have been made mainstream/whitewashed. (Granted that 4th pillar is the MC, not just rap battles)

I guess the message is that rap battles between megastars are mainstream/whitewashed now too…and in hindsight Drake/Kendrick seemed way too choreographed to be real.

Even all these recent beefs between 50 Cent vs the rap universe seem that way.

He wish Kendrick didn’t call out Drake for pedophilia?? Jay Z is morally broke

    13. Facts!! How can the man who made “Supa Ugly” …*checks notes* … 20 plus years ago take a different kind of stance now??

Jay Z wants battling left behind because he was never much good at it.

I know success is the best revenge etc. but as far as rap beefs, Jay was never the one to be afraid of.

At the end of the day I expect a 50yo man to look at that battle through mature eyes and wish for peace and prosperity. Had it been him 20+years ago he probably would have loved the battle for all that it was. I also remember he’s a billionaire. He probably just thinks about the money lost

    16. Jay really is the Stringer Bell of hip-hop.

I’m tired of, particularly the older rappers, acting like people didn’t hate Drake before this beef kicked off. Half of the reason the beef got so much attention in the first place is because a lot of people can’t stand that motherfucker.

‘What is this a 20v1?’ didn’t come out of nowhere, inside and out of the industry people don’t fuck with Drake. Like a third of Family Matters is him addressing the other niggas who don’t like him and that wasn’t even the full list.

Of course both of their diehard fans don’t fuck with the other side’s music anymore but plenty still do. Go to the Nas sub and there’s still people bringing up Ether.

Drake is gonna be alight man. He just needs to focus on dropping the album have a few club bangers and everyone will be over it.
