I'll defend the performance of the Red Army, I'll sometimes say something nice about their airforce as it did do things sometimes, you won't catch me dead defending the Soviet navy and anyone who does is either deluded or ignorant.

What about the mighty submarine Red October?

Well, if Trotsky hadn’t pissed off the Kronstadt and caused them to defect, maybe the Soviets would’ve had a better navy!
Soviet navy probably still better than the Russian Imperial navy, especially the baltic fleet
Russian navy was also bad before and after the Soviet Union
Nah, I care more about Soviet planes than Soviet ground stuff.
The Soviet Navy is the only one I don’t agree with here. Soviet subs around the World carried enough nukes to end us on a whim.
to be fair, Russia is by far the great power with the least access to the world ocean. The Black Sea is entirely cockblocked by Turkey and then Gibraltar and Suez. The Baltic is a trap controlled by Germany and Denmark that freezes over in winter. Vladivostok is so far from Russia’s core that it is practically on another planet. Murmansk is viable, but still quite far from anything meaningful and mostly blockable by NATO.
Overall it just doesn’t make sense for Russia to even attempt to have a navy. they don’t need one
Say it with me….
*and then it got worse*
I believe you are using the meme template incorrectly.
The Sovetsky Soyuz class is a stellar example of the USSR’s anti-naval prowess. The sheer number of things they got wrong is astoundingly long.
I have come to conclusion that Russia will never have a good navy .
HMS Royal Sovereign of the Revenge-class Battleship experience the hell being in the Soviet Navy
Continental empires vs maritime empires

Justified lol
Ehh i wouldnt say the army was given so much attention. They were still using highly outdated equipment way into the cold war.
Russia’s navy never recovered from the Kamchatka and its role in the defeat during the Russo-Japanese war
