Qatar should have known that – A) Dear Leader never STAYS bribed. He just thinks he deserves the money, plane, etc. with no strings attached. And B) Dear Leader was always going to do that Bibi told him to do, regardless of any arrangement with anyone else.

They thought that with such a large bribe that Trump would do what they wanted until/unless someone else was able to give him an even bigger bribe. With most people that would have taken the bribe that probably would have worked but not with Trump. With his extremely short attention span, malignant narcissism, and dementia it’s not the size of the bribe that matters, only who gave him the most recent bribe. He has zero loyalty to anyone or anything but himself and that loyalty can be very temporarily redirected but never changed.

They’re losing $100 billion if it’s a $20 billion annual loss that will take 5 years to rebuild. In fact the loss is even higher when you consider repair/rebuild costs. Good for them I guess, some people deserve to have leopards eat their faces.

Like so many old school conservatives, they correctly identified Trump as a buffoon and incorrectly assumed that they could steer Trump. Hasn’t ever listened to the smart people around him before, and he isn’t going to start because he was bribed to listen to them. Not listening to smart people got him a $400 million bribe after all.
