The “Living Well” part of that is knowing that the people who someone despises *is* going to get their comeuppance. Sure, it may not happen in all cases, but a lot of shitty people do shitty things and get what’s coming to them in one form or another. If anything, it compliments it as spending the time and energy to bring someone else down for personal vendettas just kinda sucks. This isn’t a one size fits all philosophy by any means though.
Reveling in seeing the downfall of another (by their own hand especially) doesn’t contradict the vibe of simply doing well for oneself.
