1967. I was 8 and used to walk most of the way to school with my mum three afternoons a week. We would split up at the town park and go our ways. About halfway through the park one day I found a 100 dollar bill. I hightailed it back to my mum. She asked me what the right thing to do was. Sadly I answered police so we walked the extra block and handed it in. It turned out the town drunk was paying a DUI ticket for his brother and dropped it somewhere between the bank and the cop shop. No reward was offered or even a thankyou came forward even though he lived a block away from us.
I know what will happen with the next $100 bill I find…

I once found two 1,000 Guilder bills – that’s before they changed to the Euro. Must have been around 1992 or 1993.
Was on my way to the Amsterdam airport one early morning and the shuttle bus stopped right there where these bills laid in the curb, neatly folded and soaking wet.
Needless to mention that I had an extra nice vacation. 😆

My sister and I were walking to the store, we only had 20 bucks and that was supposed to stretch to get all we needed. On our walk, across the street from us I saw something sticking out of a bush. It was a 20 Bill! When I went to say something to my sister she made me be quiet just in case someone else came by and claimed it was there. We ended up not spending that 20 and brought it home to show our parents cause it was really exciting
