These robot fights make me nostalgic. Thank you for taking me back to a much simpler time!

Battle bots, robot wars call it what you like it’s good tv.
Although quite often it was really obvious who would win and it’s usually the one armed with the most hard core spinny disk.

Huge is actually pretty good, just a bad match up against horizontal spinners.

This was one of the earlier matches. They improved the wheel material over the years and it ended up one of the top battle bots.

The og Robotwars was better.
This was trying to hard to be it but it was never the same.

Bahaha a countdown is a little fuckin’ superfluous.

I championed that robot’s awful design until the end, it was certainly creative compared to the rest of the competition and the various flipper bots or side spinners.

This needs to make a comeback on the tv. But make a rule where they have to incorporate a certain shape / item on the machine – themed each week (RuPaul Drag Race for Machines). And make it a season long tournament – not just one episode (like a Dancing with the Stars).

What is this, season one? Dude deserves to be melted down with his toy.

That was brutal! One sided match up. The wheels are too large and put it’s cutting device to high. The ref was hilarious.

You clearly never watched this show then, this is one of the few other bots that actually fucks up the wheels, and is the only gas powered bot in the entire show

Or NHRL on youtube. Smaller robots, but flamethrowers are allowed.

Pour one out for the flash of possibility where robots could be tools of beneficial human productivity and fun competition between passionate designers and engineers.

I miss this show so much.

I firmly believe the showrunners commission poorly designed bots to keep things entertaining. By this point, there is pretty firmly one design type that was always win, hence the winner in this match. There is zero reason to create something that isnt a low rotary blade style bot.
