You should always save the confirmation, just in case. On the Discover app, when you pay your bill, they automatically add a “Save to Photos” button on the screen.

The only screenshot I do is accidentally. I scroll through my pictures and find a ton of screenshots that I don’t know how I did it.

    3. Don’t think this is a uniquely black thing. Just a poor people thing. I’ve done this all of my adult life.

    4. I don’t need a receipt for a doughnut. I’ll just give you the money, and you give me the doughnut. End of transaction. We don’t need to bring ink and paper into this. I can’t imagine a scenario where I’d have to prove that I bought a doughnut. Some skeptical friend… “Don’t even act like I didn’t buy that doughnut.I’ve got the documentation right here! Oh, wait, it’s back home, in the file. Under d…for doughnut.”

Doesn’t every bill you paid get saved in your bank statement?

Every single invoice i ever paid is in my bank history.

Complete with invoice number, account paid and dates.

    6. I do the same. And I overpay my last monthly bill. Last internet bill before I move is $55? Here’s $58. I’d rather get that $3 paper check back 2 months later to prove that we’re square.

I have to do expense reports when I travel for work so it’s pretty much automatic for me to do that for everything now lmfao.

You have to! You never know who at “ABC Company’ will get a wild hair up their butt and decide you didn’t pay a bill! My parents used to have file cabinets full of receipts! You gotta let ’em know!

    9. Lmao this convo again. Lots of people do this, especially when you’re broke. Nobody is gonna tell me I didn’t pay my shit.
