    1. I remember seeing braunschweiger in the deli section of the grocery when I was little. When I asked my mother what it was made from, I decided that I wasn’t even going to try it.

    2. They still sell it although it’s a large size now and they sell it in a cut piece to match their liverwurst.

My mother loved that stuff. I couldn’t stand it. Fortunately I wasn’t forced to eat it.

I usually had olive loaf and picked out the olives and ate them first.

    4. As a kid I liked it on rye bread with cream cheese. As an adult I read Wrinkle In Time, and the kids in the book have it the same way as a snack. Tried it again, and I still liked it.

Bad memories, four year old me absolutely loathed this stuff, taste and texture…

My unhappiness at my babysitter forcing me to eat the vile stuff, and the subsequent vomiting followed by vigorous washing out of my moth with Zest made a lasting impression 🙁

On white bread with mayo and sliced onion. Love it. Grew up own this and as an adult in my 50s have found that not many people like it.
