    1. Not his fault Bob could speak Russian. Should have staged the task in a less cosmopolitan city.

He lost points because he only asked if he could speak but clearly this is written.

Today I learned Cyrillic can also be written in cursive. I’d rather eat a pine cone than have to try to translate this.

    4. Many years ago, when I was in high school, my Spanish teacher had us do “skits.” We’d break into small groups and write a small skit and then perform it in front of the class in Spanish. Her first attempt at this assignment was that it had to be in all Spanish, and it had to be at least 5 minutes long. We had 3 people in our group.

Translated from Spanish, our script went like this:

      1: Hello.

      2: Hello.

      3. Hello.

1: I can count to 1,000. Do you want to hear?

      2: Yes!

      1: uno, dos, tres… etc.

      2: Thank you.

3: I can count to 1,000 also. Do you want to hear?

      2: Yes!

      3: uno, dos, tres…

      2: Thank you!

2: I can count to 10,000. Do you want to hear?

      1: Yes!

Number 3 never got to count to 100,000, but we were ready. The teacher stopped us and, while she gave us an “A”, all future “skits” required her to approve of the script before it was performed.

I did this once with chinese back in my elementary school and i got dinged points where i wrote in chinese and i’m just wondering why we were penalized and not celebrated for knowing more than one language back then.

    6. Do you speak High Valyrian? “Zaldrizes buzdari iksos daor.” “Ydra ji Valyre?!?”

    7. I have a feeling this is an English language exam in a Russian speaking country. They were supposed to write in English.

    8. Google lens actually translated this correctly despite me not being able to make out half the letters. What the fuck?
