The little ice age was a 500 year period of cold that crippled europe and saw many interesting sights. One of these was peasants in the alps begging for help from the church as glaciers grew and destroyed farmland.
Interestingly, this has reversed, with locals praying for colder weather so the glaciers that provide much of their water dont disappear

So, what you’re saying is that the exorcism clearly worked and it just took a little while to get the ball rolling.
The exorcism clearly worked well. It may have taken awhile but the Lord works in mysterious ways.
