Why not invite Violet and Balsa to that party as well, i bet the 4 would be great friends.
You can bait the characters with something (grimoires and poison/medicine), but aside from that aspect, they’re really not alike. Frieren doesn’t know how to interact with other people, while Maomao constantly reads the room. Well…Frieren could use a healer in her party and Maomao knows her stuff, so they could technically work together.

I used to think this was an archetype. Turns out just ADHD coded. That’s what I get for thinking that hyper focus, learning everything about something pointless, lacking time awareness, general disorganisation, going with the flow, and underreacting to things was just my personality. I am not a unique individual at all.

I wouldn’t say they’re actually that similar. Yes they both have that hyperfixation/incredibly skilled in one area but otherwise seeming detached, but how it shows is very different. Maomao is guarded, cynical, planning, and generally more observing, while Frieren is more laid back, reflective, and often seems less concerned with the world around her.

No, Frieren is aroace an almost unemotional. Maomao is not at all, she just wears a mask.
i just know if they met frieren would offer maomao a grimoire and maomao would just ask if the ink is toxic enough to get her high 😭
