    1. Travesty that a “democracy” can engage in a war that’s opposed by more people than supported. Should not be possible. It’s not the “demos” doing the “cratia”, apparently

    2. And they were all disasters with no actual benefit to anyone other than weapons manufacturers. Maybe only Iraq has seen some benefits to their people, but not by that much.

I wonder how long it’s going to be before MAGA starts telling us that they’ve always been against the war.

In previous excursions, the public had the benefit of an explanation (no matter how incredible – communist expansion, WMDs, etc). Here we had nothing but a known liar who sucker punched a honey badger expecting to just walk away.

So the gulf war was the only one that wasn’t an unmitigated disaster, and most progressives were against the others from the start. Will progressives ever get credit for being “right about Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan?” Doubt it

    7. That post 9-11 patriotism was crazy.

I distinctly remember even my parents, Chinese immigrants who normally couldn’t give less of a shit about being American patriots, buying a tiny American flag to put on our front door.

    8. Gotta wait for that false flag attack on US soil to ramp up support. Check back in a few weeks

    9. Makes you wonder if the Iran conflict is uniquely awful or if the American people are finally learning that War is always awful for everyone.

Could someone explain why I can’t click on the image to zoom in? It seems like certain sensitive images have their functionality stripped away

    11. so saudi got renamed iraq and iraq got renamed “liberate kuwait”?

the irony of a sub called data is beautiful having AI slop

    12. I think calling it Iran Strikes softens the blow than calling it Iran War like the others.
