Tje lawyer was technically blackmailing the one accused by threatening the prospect of jail if he didnt pay him more money. Technically blackmailing is still a crime and they can get in trouble for it too. The accused did the right thing technically. They confessed their crimes, but made sure that their lawyer didnt get away with getting out Scott free of crimes. Well done.
