Think I’m now at that age where I don’t care if people talk through a film. Whenever I watch with friends, it’s more fun to crack jokes and comment on what we’re watching instead of just sitting there in complete silence.
I’m not saying all films should be talked through, but the majority of what I watch these days are just fun entertainment that doesn’t require my full attention to understand what’s going on. If my friends want to make a joke about a scene, I’m good with it.
On the other hand, I don’t go to the cinema and talk during films. I get that a lot of people don’t want to hear others talking, so I don’t do it. But I’m also not going to be upset if I hear others talking the entire time. If it’s a film I really want to enjoy in silence, I’ll just stream it by myself(Zootopia 2). I would never go see an MCU film at the theatre and expect everyone to be quiet. That’s just not going to happen.

Went to see Straight Out of Compton in theatres and you would have thought it was a club the way ppl were singing along, talking to each other and dancing throughout. This type of shit def happens.
