This seems bad.

But but Trump said it was over 300,000 jobs! He did that whole ‘wow look at this number’ schtick!

you ever hear of a dead cat bounce?

we might look at zero job creation as the good ole days if trumps policies continue

It’s almost like Republicans are absolutely fucking clueless on how to generate a good economy.

    4. I predict an incoming Truth Social rant claiming we added 30 million jobs, built 120,000 new factories, and secured $58 trillion in new investments.

Then Bessent and Nutlick will do the weekend talk show circuit and claim zero job growth is good, actually, because something something mass deportations.

Im surprised its not negative with how many working class people were deported.

    6. I know what we should do! Lower the interest rate down to effectively zero! Nobody’s got a job, so the least we can do is ensure the purchasing value of the dollar plummets down to post-USSR ruble value!

      U-S-A! U-S-A!

    7. 14 months still no job here. I’ve applied for just about anything that I am able to do.

    8. This is the routine. Dems fix the economy, Republicans fuck it up, raise the national debt, cut programs for poor people, and then blame it on Dems. Why are people so goddamn stupid?

      ETA: oh…and War.

    9. Let’s be clear, Trump fired all the analysts who were reporting real numbers. Are we at fascism yet?

I cannot think of a single thing in my community that would lead to net new jobs. Can you?

    11. Graduated 2 years ago in engineering bc this generation told me it was a good idea. Now after 2 years I can’t find a job. The private sector is stagnating, government jobs were cut, and federal funding to academia for PhD research has been cut. I am now wage slaving away in a warehouse for amazon, and I can only imagine how many others in their early 20s feel and are experiencing the same.

    12. “The economy will be fine. Consumers will suffer, but the economy will remain strong”

    13. Is this suppose to be ‘America’s Golden Age’ as Trump mentioned in the State of The Union Address a few weeks ago.

I propose everyone with any power to effect a different situation to just sit on their asses for another two years. That way, all the science can confirm what was already known six months ago, but definitively, and with significant implications for people no longer working at any office they know of.

It’s what America is best at: nothing.

I hope this isn’t on purpose for some really scary reason like if something were to happen to require the right person for the job and said person doesn’t exist anymore because of the scary reason.

Like when a company changes CEO’s and starts firing people left and right because of the new changes but then you find out a few months later the whole plan all along was to sell off the entire company.

    16. Lmao if you don’t listen to what the lying administration tells you, you will see there is zero growth

    17. But I thought we were “winning”!?!?!!? We’re supposed to be begging for the winning to stop!

    18. Why do you think they fired all of the people in BLS? Cuz they know that if they couldn’t control BLS, they can’t control the messaging. Glad to hear that Powell is bringing all of their attempts to manipulate out to the public. Not that we don’t already know it.

Genuinely, following job boards, it looks like for every “layoff”, they only hire a few people to fill those spots, usually outside of the US, and then get a bunch of upper management to personally welcome the new hire and make posts about it to generate attention.

Almost like they just want to generate excitement for investors and stocks and nothing else.

Hey private industry, we gave you a bunch of money and tax breaks to invest in infrastructure and create jobs and stimulate the economy. Where are the jobs.

Grok / Copilot / Claude / Open AI/ ChatGPT: Humans consume too many resources to be an efficient operational agent. Jobs are a woke socialist construct and no longer necessary to improve shareholder profits.
