And then you spend the rest of the semester trying to maintain that reputation, only to realize it was a complete fluke.

Nothing hits harder than staying quiet while the teacher confirms it.

I do this a lot, my school isn’t really known for it’s great students it gives away free marks the only reason I’m in it is due to it being near my house

The sweet taste of being right after everyone doubted you is better than snacks 😎

It only happened to me once in maths, even the teacher, my friendly rival and equal, and the brilliant new maths student that somehow ended up being better than us, all got it wrong. During my argument about it with the teacher and these two, my friendly rival got it and agreed with me, then I got up to the whiteboard to explain, when I went back to my desk, the teacher came to shake my hand. Meanwhile, the new student was still a bit confused until I turned around (he sat behind me) and explained it to him again. Still riding some of that high close to a decade later, when I remember it

If I self-validate, then my answer is always the most correct from my point of view. Seems to be a theme these days 😆

Those moments are always nice but then it’s like no one wants to see you then. They only wanna see you when they think you’re wrong. 😔
