Dinosaurs of course had feathers, and as far as I know even stiff wing feathers like these before they could fly with them. And videos like these make me think of all the different things non-avian dinosaurs would be using them for. Wing feathers are good for displaying, and maybe this sort of intimidation happened too. Like, the croc obviously outweighs the bird here, but those wings make it seem so much bigger.
