      Sources & methodology:

Store locations from Veridion ( [https://veridion.com/](https://veridion.com/) ) location intelligence, cross-checked against SEC filings. Property sizes (building, parking, and outdoor areas) were estimated using Veridion’s satellite imagery analysis with entity resolution to match each footprint to the correct business. Walmart’s total (~60k acres) validated against ILSR’s independent estimate. Pharmacy chains get smaller multipliers since many share strip-mall parking rather than owning standalone lots.

This only covers retail locations. What is not included: corporate offices, distribution centers, warehouses, and other owned properties. The real footprints are even bigger.

City references (Manhattan, SF, DC) from the US Census Bureau.

Does Kroger include other Kroger owned brands like Harris teeter?

      Same question for Walgreens.

I have never stepped foot in a Walmart. Not even a brag. Just haven’t found myself in one. Can I even call myself an American?
