The Netherlands declared themselves neutral and the were invaded and occupied anyway, how is that switching sides?

    3. USSR was against Franko, was against japan, was against finland, was against poland, was against Germany – switching sides where?

Bulgaria and Finland are better examples than USSR and Yugoslavia. USSR was never allied to Germany, they only had a non-aggression pact (which Germany violated). Yugoslavia underwent an anti-fascist coup before the government could solidify any alliance with Germany.

Meanwhile, both Finland and Bulgaria provided coordinated military support for German invasion of USSR as well as fighting alongside German units. Both nations allowed movement of German troops through their territory and made use of German military equipment. Once the war turned against Germany, both nations declared war on the Axis and helped the Soviets.

    5. There are a lot of fucked up parts in Yugoslav history, but the fact that the government wanted to side with the Nazis, and the very next day people just went “Nuh uh” and overthrew their asses is one of the events that makes me proud of those ancestors. That and WW1 are probably the brigthest spots in our history, and then the nationalist radicals went balls deep into the Battle of Kosovo myths and succeded in instilling an idiotic victim mentality into generations to follow….
