      did one/all of them get injured/killed during the conflict?

      This has been pretty much constant throughout history, not much was actually going on, so people took opportunity when they found it, during the Great Siege of Gibraltar, there were many civilian spectators who came in hopes of witnessing the crushing defeat of the British, needless to say, they were rather disappointed.
