I seeing this discourse. That the creators of Demon Hunters not acknowledge the Black American roots of K-pop in their Oscar acceptance post Oscars when they had more time to finish is annoying others.
We dont need horizontal hostility with other people of color. Damn near all modern pop music is influenced by black artists to some extent.

I’m going to preface this by saying I’m asking respectfully and out of genuine curiosity.
How was Golden divisive or exploitive? I’m just missing a bit of context.
From what I personally know, the song itself was written by a Korean performer, and it’s about a half demon no longer having to hide after they complete the golden hanmoon.
The only white guy to work on the film was one of the directors who didn’t write the music as far as I’m aware.
