This was when US president Carter visited Egypt, him and his wife also got ancient thrones but I haven’t found good photos of them yet.
I think the throne is really cool and it’s My favourite photo of sadat, I wish Egyptian presidents used pharaonic aesthetics more, the current leader sisi seems to be really into these aesthetics, designing the new capital withs lots of ankh and aten symbolism.
