Chandragupta Maurya… The famously Jain emperor of the 4th Century BCE…Who is reported to have left his kingdom to his son Bimbisara to take pilgrimage down to present-day Karnataka to live his final years as a mendicant and fasted unto death. Standing next to Ganesha… Who isn’t found in the historical record till at least the 1st century CE, and not substantially till the mid first century CE….

Such a stupid movie. Ok, you invented a Themistocles and Artemisia love plot. Cool, what are you going to do with it? Oh he kills her? Pretty lame, considering that Themistocles gets exiled from Athens and flees to the Achaemenid Empire where he lives and dies there for the rest of his life. You know she could have been waiting for him there? Nope, instead we got the “Spartan Navy”, which was never a real thing irl until Persian funding.
