I loved the Sonny & Cher Show – very well produced but down-home because they would talk about themselves and brought Chastity on. Both were so funny. It was such a vibe! Thanks for posting.

Cher. Diana Ross. Bianca jagger and grace jones are my 70s baddies. So fabulous fit and stylish darling

    3. Growing up, my mom would tell me that magazines and radio/television would make fun of Cher’s appearance, mainly her nose. But she said that she was very beautiful and should have never listened to the public eye. She would always comment that you can be the most beautiful person ever and someone would still find something wrong with you. I thought she was beautiful when I remember seeing her but being older and seeing her, I truly did not realize the gravity of the lesson my mom was trying to teach me then.

    4. When I was younger I kind of didn’t understand the hype. Now I look at her and see a talented, extremely fit woman who knew what she was and could be.

Cool showgirl, funny, good singer, but not super relatable. Obviously she has stood the test of time. So did Liberace.

These remind me of a quote I read once from a clothing designer that Cher worked with in those days. They said Cher was so statuesque in how she was built that she could get away with outfits that others couldn’t. On someone else it would practically be pornographic, but she looked like a work of art.

Cher wore the coolest, wildest outfits n they looked so good on her slender frame.
