I feel so sorry for the forensic accountants that will eventually have to sift through the muck.

    2. I studied public policy and practiced it for ten years. Every few months later there would be an ethics workshop on not accepting anything from anybody and writing a report on drinking a coffee with an external vendor/
      Personnel.

      And here we are now.

    3. 10 billion brokering fee for a 14 billion dollar sale. Nice little 71% fee. That’s like buying a house for 500k and your realtor gets a 355,000 commission.

How many presidency ending violations has it been now? Is anyone keeping track?

Just think what the WB will make after he forced Netflix to back down.

Just that made Netflix 3B. His cut will be at least 30

HA! It’s *adaorable* that people think there will ever be any kind of consequence for these actions.

Nobody is gonna get locked up. Nobody is gonna have to pay any amount of money. Nobody is going to be held to account for anything.

    7. But he’s the most honest president ever, like come on he even sacrificed his presidents wage to not make money from making America the greatest

    8. The most corrupt and criminal President in USA history. And Trump really had to jump over a very high bar.

    9. Doesn’t matter OP, there is no accountability in the federal government currently

    10. What is “the trump administration” as a legal entity? Is that the us government? Is that his family? Is that his pac? Who gets this money?

    11. Everything this administration does is a violation of some law or other it seems. Getting a bit ridiculous that people can’t see wtf is going on here.

    12. Chalk it up. He has committed several already so why not another? No one is stopping him. He doesn’t have to care about rules because there are no consequences.

Hatch is a good law in theory but now been weaponized by the current administration, particularly towards anyone below GS11. SES is rarely implicated unless the administration looking for a reason.

I’ve seen people use Hatch for ulterior motives regardless of the administration in place, but this current administration made it more or less their official stance to support anyone who agrees with MAGA and come down on anyone they don’t like as a Hatch violation.

So yes, it’s a hatch violation. But since the ones who are in charge of enforcing it is changing the letter of the law to suit them, nothing will be done about it. At least not in the foreseeable future.
