      for me the obvious example is journalism. GenAI isnt producing journalism, its rewording real humans fieldwork, parsing real humans opinions into bullet point listicles. If the journalists lose their jobs, there will be no story to reword.

      AI seems like the future, but it is like the Wizard of Oz chewing our homework and passing back a remix back to us. and thus AI is just rehashing the past, like a ghost

      It’s standing on the shoulders of one or two eldritch giants (Claude and another Francophonically-named giant, named for the French word for “cat”) made up of chunks from the shoulders of other, smaller giants and it’s enslaved by a duopoly of companies and operated with technology so costly it’s like an actual (drunk) giant is falling around and fucking up the environment.
